Makes me happy I bought into Affinity instead.

They are probably testing the waters to see if they can get people to use the larger storage capacity.

There have been many posts on this, and yes, it is test marketing - the old ten dollar plan is still available. It appears the reaction has not been great, so I doubt that they'll adopt this as a new bottom tier. But it's still not a good sign - I'd expect the base price to go up by a buck or two in the next year. There's a price point at which the standalone software will begin to look good financially, and in my opinion twenty bucks a month is above it.

For goodness sake, this was presented several times over the last few days.

NO ADOBE IS NOT RAISING ITS PRICES.

There is a new package that gives a TB storage on line. THAT cost more.

Look back to the plan prices, there is an arrow (see encircled in below image), click on this arrow and you will see the prices have not changed.

True. They are testing reaction for now. But it’s coming. Just like cable tv.

Yes, Adobe will raise their prices some day. Everyone will raise their prices eventually. Inflation. Partly caused by Congress spending more money than they receive in taxes.

Some day is not today, but I wouldn't be surprised if the price goes up a few dollars in the next five years. Probably not doubled.

Yes prices will go up. Hell that's like saying the sun will rise. The Adobe thing however is not about a eminent 10 buck raise but about buying more cloud storage and, by the way, paying for it.
The sky only seems to be falling when there is a rumor posted about Adobe. They must be the evil one!
Sirius-XM and Netflix both raised prices recently and not a peep was heard from the Chicken Little's.

Cluck cluck.
Yes all things worthwhile end up costing us more. And yes, there will always be someone to point out the obvious. It all depends on what we’re willing to put up with. Which is why they’re in “test phase” with it. If I can generate just a bit of negative feedback for them, perhaps I can help influence the final decision. How bout you?

I have been using Adobe for years and been very happy with the program. However if they do change their pricing I will change my plan.

Surely there is a level beyond which you will not go. Raising the price to $19.99 has generated a lot of noise, and since that's a bit over double the current price I would expect a lot of people to vote with their wallet. But maybe $14.99 will be acceptable to some, or $11.99.

I won't expect an answer to the actual number because (1) we don't want Adobe to get ideas and (2) I doubt that anyone has a firm number for a limit at this point. If the price is raised, we will have to consider how valuable the program is to us and match that to our estimate of normal inflation. I would expect a price rise to $10.00 would generate little notice. Raising the price to $10.99 might lose a few customers. Above that, it's up in the air.

The marketing tests that Adobe is performing are an attempt to measure the elasticity of their product. That will be important in any decision to raise the price.

Actually, I would *prefer* a discount... maybe a drop in the rate to say $1.00 per month? :)

Glad I've essentially moved to Capture One and Affinity Photo which I'm finding works just as well, if not better, than Lightroom and Photoshop. And being a Sony shooter, Capture One is half of the normal price
