You're more than welcome Richard, I collect the old Takumar lenses, never owned one in the old days but sure do appreciate their beauty and the quality of these old lenses, and cameras too.

Also my first serious camera, in the 1960s. So many fond memories such as driving around the countryside outside Nashville, TN. and shooting the fall colors. After then spending many years in the Canon world, first film and then digital, I bought a Pentax K-1 and it's a nice feeling to be back with Pentax. I love both of those cameras.

Still have my Pentax Spotmatic from 1969 PX purchase although these days it just sits on a shelf.

Still have my Spotmatic, have not used the body for some while. But the Super Tak' lenses have regular outings, attached with adapter to a Sony digital body. Years ago, I changed from Practica 35mm camera, to Pentax, after using a friends 'Super smooth wind-on' Pentax.

It is amazing how popular Pentax was with the military, it seems that for many of you guys stationed overseas in the 60's and 70's this was a very popular camera.

I used one back in the day - fabulous stuff. More recently I bought one simply for nostalgia’s sake (and that fact they’re such good value). Unfortunately when I dug out my old Tele-Ennalyt ENNA f2.8/135mm Lens that I so loved to use on the Spotmatic, the focus ring is seized solid! Very frustrating.
Have fun with your new camera.
