I liked this quite simple portrait for the lady's striking pose. It required a few adjustments to improve the original and add the flames - probably about 25 layers, all fairly straightforward stuff. Takes time though and I doubt the model notices many of the 'improvements'.
I don't know what has happened this time - I cannot get the image to show a thumbnail but clicking on 'Download' brings it up.?? (the "helpful" moderator posted a smaller sized png for quick viewing. Use OP's first download link for double the size.)
beautifully done, and sharp as a tack.
I like what you did to create this wonderful composite. I think you did great keeping all the hues to blend properly. I don't know all the elements that were added and I didn't pixel peak to try and find out. I like to take it in without dissecting each and every piece and layer. Overall Great Job!
I did see the flame outside of the boiler and thought it was not realistic. Around the woman's arm and mid section bothered me the most. If mine I would keep the flames all inside the boiler opening. I just don't think she would be standing there letting the flames burn her.

It’s not much of a composite really, just the flames added. All other adjustments are just minor improvements to, form, lighting etc. The flames are meant to startle and I accept most folk wouldn’t stay there whilst it flickered around their arms - but this lady’s made of better stuff!
Many thanks for your comments Jim, as always, they are appreciated.
I found the "outside" flames to be a whimsical touch that I enjoyed very much. The details of your larger file size are just incredible. Really inspiring work, Dave!

Thanks for putting the thumbnail up Linda - I just saved it as a jpeg and it turned-out problematical!
Thanks too for your comments.

I love it, just an excellent image!! Your skills and creativity are superb. Wish I was that creative.
What a coincidence, I was just reading the article AndyH* referenced in his post, "In defense of pictorialism in the digital age". Perfect example.

LindaThank you Salvage Diver, pleased you like it - and many thanks for the interesting link.
Now that is my kinda woman !! I love steampunk
Very good but not sure about the flames on her arm and side..
Your imagination is wonderful and the results of it are to be enjoyed. As has been mentioned by others I find the flames flaming outside to be a bit of a distraction. But certainly not a deal breaker.

Thanks Frank, glad you enjoyed it. The flames were intended to distract or startle, but that, I accept, is an acquired taste.
