These images were made a few years ago at the Park using a Nikon D1H and my old 80-400 AF-D.
Editing in b&w done with Affinity Photo. I added warmth to the images to simulate my favorite printing paper, Agfa fiber based No. 3.

Image No. 1. Bisons warming up near a glacier.
Image No. 2. Remembering Ansel Adams. Grand Tetons and the Snake River.
Image No. 3. Cannot remember well but I think these were Canadian geese.
Image No. 4. A moose hiding behind the bushes.

Stan, Ansel Adams was a master of b&w photography and this humble photographer is still learning. I sincerely appreciate your kind comments.
Here is another shot.

I took a workshop with him in 1972 in Yosemite. The thing I learned and remember that "Light is Our Language". For landscapes I have come back sometimes 8 times till the light was right. Pass that on to you.

The bison shot is very eye-catching and unique. Love your composition on that one, as well as the moose. Those two have the greatest impact for me.

I painted that very scene from the Snake River overlook. B&W composition is outstanding.

Very nicely done set that takes my thoughts back fifty or sixty years! Perhaps more for some folks!

Yes, you are right, those are the beautiful optical prints of the 60's by masters like Weston and Ansel Adams.
