That lady’s stance , expression, and location strike me as those of one easily susceptible , like her boiler’s top gauge, of becoming “stuck in the cork”!

So, if we follow you from section to section, does that make us groupies? 
I like everything except the "smoke" or half-vignette. The effect makes me feel like she's floating and, for me, is a disconnect from the strong shapes, colors and fantastic details of the rest.

I was in two minds about the smoke effect but her dress included a hooped petticoat that just looked wrong in my shot. There are other solutions though. I’ll see what, if anything, she has to say about it.
