While I was watching the Cherry Tree blossom out I started noticing a yellowish breasted olive backed little bird flitting about the blossoms. He was so hard to see & so quick it took me a while to realize I did not know what he was! There were maybe 3-5 of these lil rascals some males I assume but I finally got a few pics through a window into my shady Cherry tree. I had to lighten the shadows to make out some details etc. but I like these.
Would you be willing to share these fine shots with a conservation group for their use?

Orange?
LOL....That is what I said too! They have a small patch of Orange on the top of their heads that is very seldom visible but they can show it if you are cute enough!

Very good set.
Thanks Ernest! I really do like them & so will my Granddaughter I know! She loves birds!

Absolutely George! I would be honored if they liked them or found them useful... I plan on seeing if they are good enough for a magazine I subscribe to...probably not but who knows?
Nice set. Congratulations on your newly captured species.
Thanks for your reply. I am no judge of photo quality, but I do know there are few good shots of this species. American Bird Conservancy would, I think, like to use these, but how to send them? You could work directly with their communications director, send them to me to pass on, or any other method that would make you comfortable.
Excellent images, Walt and another good catch!

Thank you KP! I really enjoy capturing a new to me bird! I got my wife feeling the same way now!

And I thank you Swampy! I like having a strong interest that has me observing even the little ordinary birds everywhere I go. LOL...like waiting at the doctors office for my wife....I get to stroll around the grounds & see what most others are oblivious to!
