My favorite pics shot during the Humble Rodeo in early Feb 2019. Again, I have the pleasure of being a volunteer photographer for the last five years for the event sponsor, the Humble ISD Foundation (it is the 6th largest rodeo in Texas). As a volunteer, I get good access to taking pics at ringside, but this is a very intimate setting for everyone attending. This second set from the steer roping and wrestling and bull riding competitions -- all shots with Canon 1DX Mark II and EF 2.8 70-200 lens. Enjoy!
Jumping off a perfectly good horse...
Yes, this was as bad as it looks -- he flew into the red metal fence
Bulls win again...
I love the horse's facial expression on this one
The power these bulls have is just amazing.
He's got the bull by the horns...
...or has the bull got him.
Anyway...bulls win!
Super great! Wish I could get pictures of this calibar.
Absolutly fantastic photos. I love the last one, I'm rooting for the bull.
WOW....and OUCH......those look really awesome and dangerous.

Fantastic rodeo captures...loved them all
Wow! Great shots! Makes me want to go to a rodeo with a long lens! Thank you for sharing!
Great shots! I never could understand what makes a man want to ride a bull! And when did they start wearing helmets? Good idea.
All slightly underexposed--on purpose??!?
Good action nevertheless!
