Who would have thought that after living in Mission Viejo for decades and never visiting the inside of the San Juan Capistrano Mission things would change?!?!? It is a beautiful complex of Southern California history.

It really is a fantastic place and your photos do it justice. I lived in California as a kid in elementary school and went to see the mission on a school trip. Nearly 60 years later, I have seen every Spanish Mission in California that is still standing and a few sites where there are no longer any standing buildings, only wells, waterworks, stone walls etc. Thanks for posting these great photographs.

Love those arches; they remind me a bit of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Thank you CPO......................The San Juan Capistrano mission is the "mother" of all the California missions as you probably realize after visiting all of the missions.

Good point Jason! It does have a "Spanish" kind of feel about them.

Brent, another great set and the DDLs are a must to see all the sharp details. High Five for this set.
