It's now worse than "Do you want fries with that?"

The truth. But add psychology, sociology, and interpretive dance in there also.

Perhaps, but at least useful knowledge you can use all of your life. Interpretive dance, not so sure. Imagine being married to an interpretive dance major...."dear - what was on the news tonight - NO! - just TELL me!"

Perhaps useful.
But as a college major a waste.
Internships for trades are far better and you actually earn while you learn. Unless the law is being broken.

And let's not forget to mention the poor teachers who have to work a second job there because teaching doesn't pay any better than fast food.

Do architects have to take wasteful college courses like art history? The person who designed my house was a student of Louis Kahn and his ideas about light. My small house has 28 windows.

If you really look at this issue, and I have, most teachers are underpaid because money for raises etc. goes to worthless administrators, principals etc. who do absolutely nothing for insane amounts of money.

I was being a bit light-hearted about the issue because the subject was a meme. But I absolutely agree with you. Where I live, the school district spent many millions updating the physical plant, mostly in new landscaping for the schools and nothing was spent in the classroom on teacher's salaries, books or anything else. It costs me nearly two thousand dollars a year for my grandson to play in the school marching and concert bands, because the school district must offer them but pays almost nothing of the cost. The booster clubs run fund-raisers all year and hold "Band spectaculars" to raise the nearly $200,000 cost of running the program. When I was in high school, all of that was fully funded.

Hardly a subject that needs studying. Just hold up the camera and push the button!

Teachers are low-paid because there are so many of them willing to work for the wages offered. (How many "education" majors are there floating around in the country?) If a currently-employed teacher decides to quit because the pay is too low, there will be 10 applicants to take the job at the same or lower pay. And paying them more won't make them any better teachers.

Most of the schools in the country have become nothing but indoctrination centers for the liberal left.

No, because as a good Architect, one must understand history even beyond Architectire.
Also art history, physics including strength of materials etc.
Study of operations, adjacencies, construction practices, environmental issues special quality and dozens of other things that influence Architecture.
9 tests were required to be passed in these and other subjects to become licensed.
Some Architects are heavily influenced by some hero. I am not and have a personal design philosophy.
PS, My small house has 33 windows.

Here in Florida our teachers are among the lowest paid compared to the rest of the country. Our money is used to pay for elegant architecture. We call them our "Taj Mahals".
