Great sharp, highly detailed shot of the Nuthatch. Not an easy bird to get sharp focus on-constantly moving. House Finches are underrated IMO for beauty.

Real pretty! What’s the difference between a purple finch and a male house finch?

Purple Finch males tend to be chunkier, the bill is more massive. The reddish color goes farther down the flanks than on the House Finch. I know that this probably doesn't make sense but Purple Finches just feel like Purple Finches and that makes you look closer.

Purple Finches have a notched tail while House Finches have a square tail. From looking at this very good photo, it is a Purple Finch.
