Tri Colored Heron, and Friends.
These are more that I was able to get yesterday.... Same usual suspects as I often shoot.
Excellent, with particular "likes" for the first and final!

Thanks.... That helps, I've been wondering what I was thinking when I bought that lens... Better than a drug habit is my only defense...
I shot this lens Sat & Sun this past weekend and kicked around the idea whether I need the 100-400 II which doesn't get much use as a result.

Yes, I am having a hard time with the same decision, I was going to let my 500mm go but I could not bring myself to do it, I have both the 100-400 II and the 70-200 II but I also have 3 portrait length primes between f/1.2 and 1.8 so I don't really need the 70-200 with those primes, and with this lens I don't really need the 100-400 II.... One will have to go if I keep both of the big lenses. It's like kicking a child out of the home, tough to do, struggling to make a decision, best to give it a couple of weeks.
I love to watch Tricoloreds. Their fishing technique is dynamic and amusing to watch. Nice captures.

Terrific set. The color of the heron scream on the DL. Gary
Thanks guys.... I really want to find a Green Heron, I don't see to many of them up here, saw them last time I was in the Keys, but not to many up here in N. Central Florida, at least not where I hang out.
What a nice set. Well done shots. Like the stray water drop in the final shot.
I like them all but #2 is really special to me. I love that look of the predator bird that was once a predator dinosaur. Really nice work. I would keep the lens and encourage the photographer to keep up the great work.
