Eyeglass Retainers

There have been lots of discussions here about needing eyeglasses at times, but only sometimes. I've found what seems like a very good retainer to hang them around my neck to keep them handy. There are no pearls, silver, or gold things on them, and that's part of the appeal. They're cheap, and they work well.

I bought some Clic's. They work well, and no need for a lanyard, not dangling all over, not falling out of shirt pocket (IF I have one).

Yes, I've seen them, but my 1X readers cost $1.00, so I'll stick with them.

I've been using them for over 20 years, they're always on my glasses (keeps them on while rafting)!

I have had the same EKUSA straps for years. A little expensive for a retainer but still in good condition. I use them everyday to hold my sunglasses while riding my bicycle.

I wear glasses for distance (primarily driving) and I walk around a lot without them. So naturally I set them down somewhere and they're lost.

I tried one of those strings that holds it around your neck but the glasses hung down and the lenses formed a nice tray that collected dandruff and crumbs and other unmentionable debris. I gave up on them.

Can't speak of the quality as I have not taken the time to compare these products but I was going to order until I saw what they were going to charge on shipping. Considering they probably ship in an envelope I though it outrageous so I didn't order. I'll check with K-Mart or Walgreens next time I in the store.

Jerry - thanks for the tip.
I just received mine today, and they are exactly what I needed, but didn't realize it!

I only use glasses for reading, and when not being used, I would place them on top of my head, but often they would fall off if doing any kind of physical activity (like when I'm out in the garden after reading fertilizer instructions and then applying said fertilizer to the plants) so I think these will work our perfectly!

Someone mentioned outrageous shipping charges, but being a Prime Amazon member, there was no shipping charge for me.
