Ordered an item on eBay from Florida.

Paid $12.00 for first class shipping.

According to their tracker it moved 13 miles in 15 days.

And what is the weather doing?

I had a medical order stuck in Iowa because of weather - took over 30 days to go 300 miles - all due to the storms- not their fault...

If you think USPS is bad, try OnTrac. Paying for overnight might mean next week if we feel like it. Regular or 2nd day usually requires a 140 mile round trip drive to their Sparks, NV hub to pick it up. If you are really lucky it may be delivered somewhat on time as they speed by your house and toss it onto your driveway without stopping. ( As they did one time with a camera body I had ordered.) Every time something Amazon uses them same story. Letters, emails, phone calls and shipping notes make no difference.

There's no such thing as a perfect shipping record. Sometimes things just happen. USPS does not suck or blow. They handle millions of packages every day and deliver on time way, way more often than not.
Not too long ago I had to send a lens to Canon repair in New Jersey. I shipped overnight from Oaks Pennsylvania and it was delivered to Canon the next day. When the lens was done, a couple days later, Canon shipped it back to me UPS overnight. That was on a Friday. The lens was delivered to my home in southeast PA the following Monday. UPS took 4 days, Friday to Monday to move the package the same distance as USPS did in two days, Monday to Tuesday.
I ordered a mobility scooter for my wife by Drive on Amazon. I expected it to be delivered by FedEx ground the following Tuesday. It was delivered by the USPS the Sunday after I placed the order, two days sooner than I expected.
No, the USPS does not suck or blow. They usually do a good job but sometimes, crap happens.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.
OR, you could hang them based on one instance.
Does it happen every time?
1 out of 50?
However, their tracking information accuracy leaves little to be desired.

USPS most certainly sucks and blows and this isn’t an isolated incident.

Five or so years ago I ordered a billiards cue that arrived two weeks late and ... to this day ... the tracing number shows it sitting in Burbank.

Most people have no concept of how many mailpieces are timely delivered without incident or delay every day by the USPS.

Exactly. Our USPS service has been excellent, but they all screw up occasionally - I’ve had terrible deliveries from UPS and even FedX (which I’ve always considered the gold standard). I have to say that Amazon Prime’s delivery service has been first rate so far.

Wow, I new their tracking was bad, but that is insane.
Yea, USPS is not my first choice.
And I prefer UPS over FedEx.

Some of my USPS issues have been local problems, but they are certainly a notch or three below FEDEX, UPS.

Maybe all the tax cuts have something to do with it. Would YOU work harder if your boss cut your pay, and benefits, and threatened to fire you on a moment's notice?

I find USPS delivery to be variable. I had one letter take a day to get from Portland, Oregon to Melbourne. Australia. Another letter took 16 weeks to go 12 miles from the north part of Salem, Oregon, to the south part of Salem, Oregon. I accept that mail can be slow at times. If I am in a hurry, I use Fed-Ex, UPS, or some other outfit. Stop cutting taxes, and maybe the USPS will have the money to hire more, and better, workers, which may improve the service.
