I have been playing with gelatin farmer brothers at first but since deciding to move into mexico across from el Paso I found Mexican gelatin works just fine . many places sell it. Most popular 300 bloom .theysell it in paks of one kilo ...2 1/4 pounds for 7 bucks.at the present am setting up a glass plate lab .

It’s good to see there are those among us keeping traditional, foundational processes alive.

Its nice to get replys from you all. One curator at a local museum told me ..leave it alone..guess it would effect his collect of plates. Masters of photography are the only like yourself appreciate this endeavor to explore

Cat who runs the Yuma museum was very nice. She wants murals of South Western art . the folks up north want that art.The chemical in el Paso said the same. My visits gave me much insight as to what sells.not many want large work. I'm into shrimp boats especially when they come into port ..product all over deck ..guys look like it's time to take a bath..so much character in the whole scene. But then a mad mama hen with her new babies ..look out...in mexico and it's poor conditions give meaning to life . a family's stove is a hole in the ground bricks line the sides ..sticks for fire .kidswaiting to eat
