These are images I made in the past. The first two ones from Hutchinson Island in Central Florida while the other two are from the island of Mallorca in Spain. The conversions were made with Topaz B&W Effects 2.

The first image is from a small, picturesque chapel at a local Catholic church in downtown Hutchinson Island. The second one is an early morning shot of the surf as seen there of the Atlantic Ocean from shore.
The third shot is a late night scene in one of the streets of the Capital of Mallorca known as Palma. The last one is a couple I photographed as part of my street photography in beautiful Valldemossa. It was here, in this village in the mountains of the beautiful island of Mallorca that Fredrick Chopin spent a winter with his lover George Sand (Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin) who adopted that name because at the time from what I know, women were not allowed to work as writers or journalists.

Notice the conversions have an added warmth which I do to simulate my favorite Agfa fiberbase printing paper of the past.
Images made with Nikon and Olympus cameras.

That third photo of the buildings and curved street is excellent! Your eye naturally follows the curve of the road into the mystery fog.

I thank you all for the nice and interesting comments. My journey into b&w conversions from color digital images is not finished yet and I am still learning. Periodically I post some of my images hoping to get some good feedback from others with more experience in conversions to b&w.

When I stepped out at night looking for subjects to photograph as I turned the corner I saw the image you all praise in No.3 in front of me. I placed the tripod exactly where I was standing and I accepted the composition without doing anything special about it. The original was too yellow and I decided that a b&w rendition would be more in tune with the mood I experienced that night when I saw the empty street and the light fog. I wish the light on the building was better exposed but it was my fault not to get it right.

The chapel has a story behind it. It is a little chapel separated from a large building where the main church is located. I do not know if there is a separate service held there. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens, full of beautiful flowers this time of year. I photographed it for a friend who is an ardent Catholic that attend services in the main building. The view of the surf in early morning light is beautiful and since my room was close to one of the windows facing the ocean I could hear all night the noise produced by the waves. Awesome!

The couple was shot from across the street but not that far from them. I used my D610 with the 28-105 f3.5-4.5 D lens. I was sitting at a local cafe when I saw the couple and immediately took the picture. There is a pattern of repetition here with all those motorcycles interrupted by them standing in the middle of the raw of motorcycles.

Come to think of it most images have a story behind them.
