I don't mind them as long as they stay on the ground. They provide janitorial service for the careless or picky birds that spill seeds on the ground.

Get into the feeders or chew on the deck...then its war.

I have separate feeders for birds and squirrels.

Nice photo - squirrels are fun to watch exdept when they're where they're not wanted, like the attic. We have chipmunks and a small squirrel that raid the sunflower seeds. But they usually scoot if I open the door. The red-bellied woodpeckers seem to be the real hogs. In the past I've had raccoons empty the hanging feeders at night, but haven't seen them this year yet.
