I also have seen Bambi meets Godzilla and am inclined to think that it is the true end for Bambi. I love to show it to children who have also seen the clip...."Santa meets Godzilla". Both made with tax dollars spent in film projects in various colleges.

Furthermore the original black and white project cartoon style of "Bambi meets Godzilla" was much more devastating and brutal than the color version mentioned in the last post. Clearly one of the comparisons that lends credence to B/W over color.

Also the original video was made in a class project in 1969, created by Marv Newland. Much more suspense involved along with the disarming fairy like music track.

That's the one I remember seeing in what was called "Midnight Movies" at a local theater. Years later, it was an inspiration for an exhibit I did for an arts and crafts festival conducted by a company for which I worked. Due to my exhibit, they made a major change in the rules for submittals. I took that as a compliment.

Wife and I loved the Midnight Movies, Besides anything to do with Bambi, two (from memory) of my favorites "Mystery of the Leaping Fish" (Douglas Fairbanks - Sr. not Jr.) and of course "Reefer Madness".

On the story, wonder if the deer was sick? ... at least they weren't attached by Hedgehogs.....

I remember the school's showing us movies like "Reefer Madness"
We always wondered- where did they get that good stuff?
They didn't even have to inhale. Boom!

Bambi did not really win since the police killed the deer
