I truly believe that the color red is by far the most difficult to capture....

The fine granular texture of the leaves gives an enjoyable visual feel. Composition style and placement are excellent.

The only trivial suggestion, at the right border 75% up, there is a background leaf tip that goes into the edge and muddles the definition of main forward leaf... a little cloning and it is gone.

Yes, red is so hard - and to print even harder, as said above. So I have to ask: Does this match the actual flower? It's a beautiful red, but does it match? I found that if I go to a minus EV, sometimes red comes through better.

In this case yes it matched...I tend to always shoot negative exposure I feel it gives me better control developing raw files to what I think my eyes actually saw in the shot.
