A topic that I know nothing about; but it seemed like an appropriate title for the thread. Shot while walking the dog.

Fluid it is! The feeling of motion is very compelling.

Little specs of foam were floating down the river and I just could not resist doing a longish exposure.

It's both fascinating and beautiful. I think you are converting me to a long exposure fan.

It is certainly something that is a lot of fun. It also makes you slow down and think a lot about composition because you are always on a tripod. I think the appeal for me is that the end result is something that you don't see when you are shooting. That means that you have to look for the movement in waves, clouds, or rivers and visualize (there is that word again) the results. Have fun, can't wait to see what your creativity yields.

Besides being very interesting visually, to trace the actual path of flotsam gave me new insights.

If I gave you ideas, then I'm on the right track. Thanks for the compliment.

I do like that, I'm thinking about asking you for permission to show it on our canoe club page as it shows what we try to explain to newer members every season.

I always enjoy your long exposure work, but this one might be my favorite of yours. Very nice!

If it helps you with your newer members, then I can't think of a better use for the photo. Feel free to use it.
