Would very much appreciate your opinions.

Used Filter-Adjustment-Equalize for the first time and was surprised at the results.

Thanks.

Wonderful result! Can you describe the steps you took?

Did you shoot this from a vehicle or a train, perhaps? I see reflections in the sky and I think just to the right of middle in the water area. The distance and small size of the dwellings in the frame make it difficult to feel a connection to the people who live there.

As a demonstration of the edits, it would be good to see the "before."

That we want to know where, shows that you capture our interest. A photo rich in details, yet simple and strong in composition. If you can get your camera up against the glass, you will not get the reflections of your arms. Maybe a black eye though!😏

Just this: Filter-Adjustment-Equalize.

No credit to me, but glad you liked the result.

I took it from a bus. I can do something with the reflections.

I'm not sure why sometimes the Equalizer Filter works better than at other times.

Thanks for the tip. What about the vibrations from the bus?

Use your lens hood. Keep it back from the glass. Just enough so it is not touching. That should help with the reflections.

Did you select a particular area of the image to be equalized? If so, did you specify that you wanted to equalize the selected area only to evenly distribute only the selection’s pixels? Or did you choose to
"Equalize Entire Image Based On Selected Area" to evenly distribute all image pixels based on those in the selection? These choices would result in differences in the finished product and might explain why you're happier with some outcomes rather than others.
