Finally had some time to try and figure out back button focus.
Found a vid on utube that said ..go to this menue... dang, sure are a lot of menus on Canon 6D....
Turn off.. whatever it was, seemed contradictory. But... English is not Canon's first language. Anyway..
Oh! That's how it works. Easy!
Except on A+ auto... which is what I use when I hand the camera to my b.f......
If not for this forum, would never even have bothered to learn about it....Thanks!

Yup one can learn a lot here if you separate the chaff from the weeds.

True... but sometimes it's fun to read the "chaff". 😁

I prefer to think about the "chaff" as coded tinsel In this case. Could be helpful.
(And some Americans (or primarily English-speaking people) can't write manuals worth a frap either. )

Krashdragon,
I agree with you, that the Canon settings controls are quite complicated, compared to other products. I just got a Canon D6 mkii, and was not ready for the menu/settings controls. I found myself referring to the manual, about 1/2 the time, for 2 days straight. I still have not figured out how to set the the camera to start a new folder every day, automatically. Any help UHH.
Thanks,
Thrash50

That's funny. Are you implying there is no wheat to be found here?

No not at all. And I meant to type wheat not weeds. I didn’t pay much attention in high school typing either. I’ve learned numerous valuable things here and gotten some good ideas.
