Hi. I am Sandi. I have been into photography for a long time with a darkroom back in the 1980’s and then drug kicking and screaming to the digital age in the early 2000’s. Looking around I am liking all the interesting topics I am seeing on this site. Looks like something for everybody.

Welcome aboard. Do you miss the smell of stop bath and fixer? I do.

Hello, welcome aboard. I'm not sure I grasp the concept of drug screaming and kicking into the digital age though. I personally embraced the dawn of the digital age and was looking forward to all the wonderful technological advancement the digital age would bring. I use to spend a lot of money on color film and processing. Digital film is dirt cheap and reusable. Who could that be something one couldn't embrace. Besides, unless you were a Kodachrome junkie, color film and processing still exists, and black and white never went away. Plus, digital just keeps getting better...

It didn’t take me long to figure that out! All my film cameras are collecting dust these days. I just had no vision to see what digital would become.

It's not magic, it's chemistry.
I personally like making prints on my digital printers. Just plug it into the computer or plug in a SD card, press a button or two and there it is, a perfect print every time. No chemicals, no odors, no mixing or cleaning up and the print is dry the moment it comes out of the printer. Couldn't ask for an easier process.
