I'm beginning to believe social media sites like this one should require admission tests to prevent socially deficient people from joining. To answer your question, no, the draft ended before my 18th birthday. I had planned to enlist in the US Air Force but, since the war was over, their requirements must have changed and I was turned down so no, I am not a veteran. My father was a veteran of WWII and Korea. My uncle served in the Pacific in WWII. My closest cousin served in the middle East. My brother was in the Navy during Vietnam. Back then he was a medic and flew on helicopters that removed injured soldiers from combat zones, and served on another aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf in the early 1990's prior to retiring. My brother and I were very close and he wrote often and after he retired from the Navy, spent many hours sipping on a cold one and talking about his experiences during his 25 year Navy career. After he retired from the Navy he worked for the department of defense and spent many more years servicing electronics aboard US Navy vessels.

The amount of money spent on i******s is a drop in the ocean compared to what is spent on other things. You DO realize-don't you?-that your tax money goes to pay for Viagra for rich guys who could afford their own. Your tax money goes to pay for private school tuition for the kids of rich folks who can afford to pay that themselves. I don't hear you whining about such, though. You don't mind rich white folks l***hing luxuries off the system, but h**e brown folks getting life preserving needs taken care of. If you want to save money, don't waste any on a useless border wall which won't work. I******s will tunnel under, climb over, and break through any wall that does get built. So a wall will keep no one out. So why support wasting $70 billion, or more, on a wall that won't work? Stop i******s from coming here by severely punishing the GOP clowns who hire them.

I've seen your other posts here and not impressed. I am a veteran and am enrolled in va healthcare. If it were as easy as you think most would be helped. But as someone who is there you are wrong on all counts. It is a constant battle getting healthcare in the va because they are so backed up. I've had 2 surgeries in the last 3 years and was not able to get them thru the va. They were outsourced to civilian doctors because of long waits. I realize the general public isn't properly educated on the problems with the va but it is ignorant saying these vets could get help if they wanted to. "You can lead a water to horse(???). I know what you meant but it's wrong for you to crap on any vet. Try patriotism for once and support veterans. They fought and some died for you to have the right to say nasty things about them. Shame on you!
