To answer your question, no, the draft ended before my 18th birthday. I had planned to enlist in the US Air Force but, since the war was over, their requirements must have changed and I was turned down so no, I am not a veteran. My father was a veteran of WWII and Korea. My uncle served in the Pacific in WWII. My closest cousin served in the middle East. My brother was in the Navy during Vietnam. Back then he was a medic and flew on helicopters that removed injured soldiers from combat zones, and served on another aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf in the early 1990's prior to retiring. My brother and I were very close and he wrote often and after he retired from the Navy, spent many hours sipping on a cold one and talking about his experiences during his 25 year Navy career. After he retired from the Navy he worked for the department of defense and spent many more years servicing electronics aboard US Navy vessels.
