Shooting in live view in broad daylight is almost an impossible task, the sun is so bright, I cannot see the LED screen on my Nikon D750. Trying to shield the screen from the sun is seldom effective. How do those of you who experience the same problem handle it?

Sunshild... add a flip down lens. A DIY evolution is here:

Your eye goes right up to the drop down lens and so sun reflection is not a problem.

ITEMS NEED FOR SOLUTION TO SUN PROBLEM
B&H # DEDU30MBLK MFR # DU3.0-M BLK $9 Delkin e-Film sun shield
5X Clip-On Eyeglass Magnifier Loupe Optical Tool #MI131 EBay $5

I use two methods to overcome this problem with my Olympus camera:

1: Flip the LCD down and use the camera at waist level.

2: Find some shade from a pole, tree branch or building and make sure the shadow covers the LCD, only the
smallest amount of shadow is needed.

If you are wearing polorized sunglasses, remove them.

Get a Hoodman Loupe. Do a Google search, or look online at B&H. Beats do it yourself shades. The eyepiece can be adjusted to your eye.

When live view is my only option, I use a focusing cloth.

I don't know the OP's reason for using live view but some times you have no choice.

I am forced to use it (with a Hoodman) if I want to stay in the game.

May I ask, please explain, what is a "focusing cloth?"

I look away from the sun so it casts a shadow over me and hold the camera close to my body and look at the screen, never had a problem.
If you still do, get a hoodman. Make sure you get one for your size screen.
