Brings back memories, especially as I lost my virginity in our 48 Packard. I also bought a 48 tan one in 1989 and totally restored it, spent a ton of money, then sold it at auction in 94 at about half of what I had spent.

The Memories were worth it.

The hood must have seemed to weigh a ton, and an awkward way to get to the motor. Great picture!

Yes, the memories are certainly worth it. You only loose your virginity once, and once lost never found again.

Great picture of a real oldie, I noticed three things in the under hood picture. 6volt positive ground and a bright shinny vacuum pump for the windshield wipers which means ran very well going down hill hi hi.

Tom, reminds me of my Dad's old Packard. I remember sitting in it and pulling down the shift lever and how the car rolled backwards. I believe I was around 4 years old. I do believe I got it from Dad for doing that. Excellent set of photos.
