Mine is the rugged, waterproof, "drop it or kick it" Olympus TG-5. Sensor is not nearly as big as Gene's RX100M6, but it has some unique features and is giving me images I like.

We need more criteria. Pocketable? Zoom range? Sensor size? Viewfinder? Which MUST you have, which would you LIKE to have?
For mega zoom with viewfinder and hot shoe I have a Canon SX50 HS (Now SX60HS or SX70HS).
For pocketable, 1" sensor, with viewfinder and 10X zoom I have a Panasonic DMC ZS100.

My EDC (every-day-carry) pocket camera is the RX100III, and I'm not planning to upgrade or change ~ and...I don't carry a "smartphone" (not smart enough).

Panasonic Lumix ZS100 - I have a nice form-fitting leather carrier and a shoulder strap - beats the heck out of a smartphone.

RX100VI for my shirt pocket.
RX10 IV for walking around with a large zoom.
A6300 for prime lens versatility.
A77ii for collecting dust. ( Too many lenses to sell system )

If you’re looking for a tough camera, the Olympus Tough TG5 is the one to get. Drop it, dunk it, drench it, sit on it, freeze it, and it keeps on clicking. Check out the review at Dpreview, imaging resource, etc. they all agree.

I picked up a used Nikon Coolpix P7000 on eBay for $60. Much easier to use in the plane than one of my DSLR’s, especially when it’s bumpy. Not much zoom, but about as flexible as a DSLR with ISO, bracketing, and S, A, etc. Superb IQ. That is now my carry everywhere camera.

Why check Dpreview when you can get the same advice from me here on UHH?
