The only thing better then the good photos is the story behind the photos. Great job.

Amazing grandson, it is so great to see a young man so grounded in his beliefs and life. Kudos to you for raising a daughter that provided him with a great foundation.

Thank you for taking the time to view and and respond.

Thanks for his efforts on the part of cancer. I'm dealing with cancer issues myself so hopefully his sacrifices and those of others will help find a cure. God bless.

Best wishes for success with your malignancy. We’ve had our share of the dreadful disease too.

I have 3 grandsons, the oldest is 5... My son intends on "keeping them involved", as well... I can't wait!!

As their parent, and grandparent, I know you are extremely proud and happy for them! As well you should be!!
Thanks for the great share!!

Grandparents have express bragging rights for their grandchildren. In your case the praise is well deserved. your grandson and his parents seem to be wonderful people who are doings right not only for their family but for our nation. They are contributing to our welfare rather than taking. Good for them. I am sure you played a big part in their decisions too.

My younger grandson is in the 7th/8th grade jazz band. I gave him my 1951 (Bronx NY) Bach Stradivarius trumpet after having it professionally cleaned. Last Friday, the band entered a jazz band competition. They won the Gold award for best band and awarded best trumpet solo (not him), best trombone and rhythm sections. I cannot adequately express the joy I felt when he texted me about the competition. They are really good - I saw them perform at the winter concert last Feb.

He also had his head shaved, for the 9th consecutive year, at the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research Charity. He received a special award for raising over $4000 this year and $35,000+ over the nine years of participation.

Here are a few photos from getting his head shaved this year. I'm so proud of him. He's also on a path to become an Eagle Scout and will play lacrosse this year. He is busy!! He's really a "neat" kid!! Credit to his Mom (my daughter) & Dad. His Dad has his head shaved every year too and helps organize the fundraiser as does my daughter. I included a photo of Dad.
Thanks for viewing.
