AzPicLady Loc: Behind the camera!

On Saturday we went to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum with a group from my church. I got there early to reserve a table and do some private wandering. In the parking lot were TONS of lupine! Just beautiful! I thought the early morning light was nice, also. Caught some poppies open in the afternoon.

Spring has been long in coming this year. Cold snaps have slowed it down considerably. Thanks!

I think your cardinal pic is very effective! I also love #1 for the lupine filling the frame more "forcefully" than the others (color contrasts?) and the hint of mountain behind.

Thanks, Linda. I usually see cardinals but seldom get pictures. So I was pleased that this one was actually sharp enough to see the bird! And, I liked that first shot a lot when I saw it in my camera. So often the greens and blue-lavenders of lupine (having nearly the same density) blend together and it's hard to get clear shots. This one turned out pretty well. I think the angle of the sun made the difference.

Thanks, Sylvia. I liked having the tree and the mountain in the shot. Love the cardinal too.
