The original is really interesting and I would love to see that larger but I like what you did with it. What software did you use?

I see as fog, not fire (maybe I have to be hit in the head with red/yellow instead of blue), but the foreground is fascinating. Like the evil, alien Mother Tree has put out threads* that will soon destroy Earth as we know it

*ref: Sleeping Beauties, a novel by Stephen and Owen King.

Photoshop the oooold CS2 & some Topaz stuff. Would you want the original to play with?

There was very little flame left under the "fog".

I gave no narrative to see what others might see on their own. Evil look was sort of my angle.

What a challenge! Basically copied flames as separate layer for later use. ACR'd the original. Darkened it, especially the lights in Photoshop (PS) Curves. Burned the highlights. Burned the midtowns somewhat, Desaturated the midtowns somewhat. Set flames to Hard Light. (Those are the EFFECTIVE, steps, probably about 1/3 of various trial steps.)

When I uploaded, it looked a bit too dark for believability, so I did a second version a little closer to real light.

Seems you worked harder on it then I did. Glad you liked it.

Here goes. I simply added a blue photo filter at 45% in PS. I wanted to give it a bit of a smokey look.

I wanted to bring out the fire aspect of it. Thanks for letting me play with it.

I like it. Color/Contrast can make a whole new story out of an image. You may grab anything of mine that tweaks your fancy.
