Desmond Doss has been an inspiration to many people for many years. A true hero. A park near me in Cleveland, TN has a beautiful statue and tribute to him. One of a kind of many who served.

The cliff was not as tall as that shown in the movie. Likely the Japanese would have also been shot down attempting to cut it down. Perhaps some were.
