Having an Issue With Lightroom Graduated Filter

Recently, I've experienced something puzzling with the linear Graduated Filter in Lightroom Classic 8.2. If I select this effect, I get the crosshairs (as I should), and the if I change the sliders, I get the desired effect from the filter. What doesn't appear, though, are the lines which are intended to help guide you in applying the filter. In the circular Graduated Filter, an oval line appears, as it should. What's going on with the linear filter?

Update - I solved this problem by trying a different search approach on Google. Others have experienced this after an upgrade, and the solution is simply to press the "h" key (Show/Hide Adjustment Pin)!

Well, that was easy I'm reminded of the time I was advised to simply remove my "caps lock" to see the brush a different way (have forgotten what that does, but you get my point).

Thanks for "adventure." It helps for me to read about such problems.

This one has gotten me, several times. It doesn't happen often enough that I remember the solution, right away. So, it drives me batty, for a while. Remember, back in the old days, some keyboards had a little, red LED built into the caps lock key? I miss that.

Cool..I didn't know about the 'h' key hiding the lines in the graduated and circular filters. I wish I knew about this earlier. Thanks for the tip.

It’s so easy to hit a key accidentally- causes me problems in both Lr and Ps. Then it takes a disproportionate amount of time to find the simple solution. Your post will save me hours when I get this problem, which I don’t doubt I will! Many thanks for posting.
