The last one. I don't think I have ever seen tree roots growing into a decomposing redwood stump.

I agree with curmudgeon; the fascinating part of the image is the fervent root growth into the old stump.
The squirrel is lagniappe.

The third is the best of your offerings. However, I think even more of the old stump's base should also be included - it's just too interesting. A portrait format fits. IMHO
