CAMARET-sur-MER is located at almost the westernmost edge of continental France and the area is for the French aptly called Finistère (end of the earth) - but to be exact, there are actually 2 nearby promotories that reach a bit more into the west. In this area, Breton survives most strongly as a spoken language. Its pretty colorful painted houses overlook a small fishing harbor, dotted with boats, active and derelict and its main claim to fame is the Vauban Tower aka Golden Tower built in 1669-94 as a fortification tower, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Good to know for Foodies: it also boasts some pretty amazing restaurants.
I will have a couple of posts on this quaint place, this first post covers the KERLOC'H BEACH at the south-eastern border of Camaret, with interesting rock formations.
BTW - I am keen to know the name of the flower in the 4th picture - #2745 - could not identify it myself. and would appreciate it if somebody could help me along. Thanks.

AMO - I just checked against images for yarrow on Google - and there are definitely similarities, but the yarrow seems to be more "clustery" while this flower was huge and evenly flat - I will have to look further into it, but thank you for your effort - much appreciated!
Great capture and series. Thanks for sharing.
