I'm from Bartlett NH in the White Mountains. I regularly hike and mostly take pictures with my phone but I want to graduate to a full featured camera even though they are heavy for hiking. I have a Canon SX-280 which I have never really gotten past using on auto but I have decided to begin learning more about. I travel all over the world and have many great pictures and videos already but want to get a really good camera for my next adventure.
I am just trying to learn how to use this site. No clue how to attach a foto I was barely able to do this intro. I didn't even notice it called for a photo.

Welcome to our forum!
Click on "Choose File" below.
Find the image on your computer and click on that to accept it.
Click on "Add Attachment." That should do it
Adding a picture is easier than it used to be.

It doesn't, but you talked about your photographs so that caused some expectations.
I wish it were that easy. I am using my very new HD Chromebook, which I love, but I don't think there are any picture files on it. My phone pictures exist on my phone and in my Google Photos. I know I can easily access them on this computer and look at them, but getting them to this forum I have never tried. I need help on computers too.
Welcome to the group. Ignore the snarkiness.
I do have a couple Windows PCs where I could send photos but I would have to switch computers, I can do that later.
While I have this forum on I have a question which I was going to ask later which is why do I get so many orbs in my pictures, single shots and videos too? Do my cameras do this? Thanks for the welcomes.
Welcome to the forum. I too live in NH in the lakes region. Look forward to seeing your work, or your trips...

you dont need a dslr to take great travel pix -- for years I've used cameras in sony's cyber shot family - small enough to fit inside my ski parka, with great zoom & sharp zeiss lens. I recently switched to bridge camera - lumix fx1000 for a trip to morocco and the results were so good imay sell my dslr
My SX-280 Canon does take good pictures maybe I should just learn all the features of that one first.
