That's a great price on a very good, general purpose, fixed aperture, normal zoom lens. It works on full frame or APS-C, and came with a six year warranty.
I have used the same lens on Canons and Nikons. My former employer made millions of school portraits with hundreds of them in the Canon mount version.
If I used Sony a mount, I'd take it off your hands!
