I received my new camera (Z6) on Tuesday and we had our first nice day of the year on Wed. This is one of the first shots after setting up the camera. A very easy camera to use, just what this old man needs! Thoughts and comments are most welcome!

I like them both, Phil, the second one a little better because of the barn distortion in the first one.

#2 makes great use of natural framing; very eye-catching. #1 has a bit too much heavy tree trunk for my tastes (composition imbalance). Glad you're enjoying your new camera!

You have a good eye John, you're the first one to mention that. I have yet to figure out how sensitive this new lens is (24-70S). Thanks for taking a good look my friend!

Thanks Linda for the critique, While I agree 100% with you about the "large trees", between the mud hole and the thorn bushes, that was probably the best option. The other shot that eliminated the trees looked like it was cut off. It is fun sorting a new piece of equipment. You are appreciated young lady!

#2 for me Phil, love the framing. You and the camera are working well.

That is appreciated Sylvia, as you know every camera has it's own idiosyncrasyies to be learned. To me, part of the adventure. So far this one is a joy, but at the time I had had it for just 24 hours. Thanks again for stopping in.

While both are crisp, clear with great color, I would say #2 is the better framed.

I was hoping that you would see this, the camera seems to be way beyond what I expected. The operator holding it has much to learn. One thing is clear. if and when I get a bad image it is not the camera. Thank you for sharing your thoughts my friend, they are very welcome!

Don't underestimate your skills, my friend; judging by your past posts, you'll do fine. Always a pleasure, Phil.

Thanks Bill, it's nice to know that someone likes an image, it's even better to know why.
