The head mistress of the Sisters of Mercy is at prayers when in comes to pass that the uppity novice KNOX bursts in on VADA's prayers, and boy has she been ob-NOX-iouss of late. In her former life she did God-Knows-What, the tattoos are ever so indicative of her sorted past; yet now she thinks she is the one and only witness for salvation!

It is time to help her find a new road to salvation! Isn't that why VADA is the HEAD Mistress of the Sisters of Mercy?

OH God (Goodness?) is this MORE Monkey business? Hint, you bet ya!!!

And natch, Part 2!

We are as they say, Off to da races!

Discipline can set one on the path of right thinking! Ain't it the truth. The steady hand of our elders is the ticket!

AND Jeep Daddy!

You guys! Yes, they were having a blast. This all started with VADA. I had gone to Party City to poke around about Halloween. I hope you guys get that KNOX is Hispanic, a girl from San Antonio who was not raised in a religious atmosphere but her mother is an over the top Christen. So Day of the Dead is big time in SA and it is for KNOX, but she loves Mickey more (Mickey Mouse, where as most Latinas are totally NOT into Minnie Mouse, just Mickey!).

So I'm looking at costumes and I spot the Nun costumes, Kool! I get two and see VADA two days later on Sunday. I show her the Nun outfits and tell her I want to do a set with she and KNOX. Oh my GOD! I have to scurry back to Party City to buy two more Nun outfits. Why? VADA is in an Italian opera production and her Nun outfit is for shit she tells me while she is getting necked and looking in the mirror of the studio dressing room. She is telling me the horrors of her costume, they get ONE and half the time it smells but shit who wants to wash the thing five times a week.

Someone asked, how do I find models, do I pay them, how much...STOP! The women I work with are my buds, I take care of them! SO we took the other costume out of the package and made sure it fit, plus I dug out the accessories I had picked up. VADA took all of this home that afternoon and I know that babe, she called her cohort of actress buddies, and told them about the Nun outfits and where to get them and how much they cost and all that Jazz.

She kept one of the Nun outfits and abducted the other two I bought for a girl friend Kat, but she had the original two for the shoot. I got one in the end of it all. I also made the wooden crosses and the kneeler for the shoot. That crazy door was an item left out in the rain and the outer covering of lamina peeled off to reveal the base structure. It was an old door and I refinished it for the set. Still have it stored, it's great to have props storage.

One other thing, education is not an issue with models. These two, one holds a PhD and the other barley got through high school. Both are extremely intuitive and smart as hell! Both are great actresses. I would rather have an actress than a model, but having an actress who will model, that's the best! But both are vary naughty! LOL!!! I'm vary into naughty but not into hurting, not my gig!

So, look for them Sisters of Mercy, the sequel coming up on a HOG near your computer.

Oh, you wanted to have closure on Kat, right?
Kat playing in my library at the studio, yea, brainy, Master degree. And naughty librarian!

No interest in these Tim. The older I get, the more I dislike anything like this to do with matters of faith (no matter whose faith is being targeted); what I believe personally doesn't enter into it, but when we're talking about the very thing that billions hold nearer to their hearts than anything else...I just find it needlessly disrespectful of others.

Ok but to clarify for others, I was raised Catholic, I turned to Pantheism in the face of the Church. There are many issues that can be drawn into, but I'm not interested in that silly nonsense. So I point at the Roman Catholic Church as a place to make fun and a silly system of belief. I will not go there unless someone really wants to lock horns on this subject then I will express an opinion. but then there never is any solution so lets just not get into it here.

Consummate poor taste...do not care what you were raised or what fringe belief system you now espouse.
BTW...the posing is adolescent...at best.
While I am an agnostic, I respect all legitimate religious beliefs. AS photographers, we do have a responsibility to be, at the very least decent human beings.

There is no profit in being disrespectful. I am not religious but this stuff is sacrilege.

You are a good photographer and I am sure to you the outfits were just props and you meant no disrespect to Catholics or other religions but I think this was not in good taste even if you did not mean it that way. Please, I am not "locking horns" with you and you have a right to have your opinion, I am just stating mine.

I do understand the reactions. I could go into it but I am just not interested in the whole Catholic thing. I do know the history and am fully aware of the sickness that the Roman Catholic religion has given the world. It's really too bad that Carthage did not defeat the armies of Rome, we would most likely not have the history that we have. Oh well, as one person on here remarked, just don't look if it bothers you that much.

I am also a pantheist. I like a lot of your work, but did not care at all for this series. The theme seemed sophomoric and the imagery was in bad taste. As far as not looking, I always check out this section for creative nudes. How can I not?

I love the series, a lot of fun. On the political side of the argument, let me preface it by saying I was a Catholic who graduated from a Catholic high school and a Catholic College, I agree there is a great amount of hypocrisy throughout the leadership of the Catholic Church, from the leader of the parish to the leader of the diocese to the leadership of the church wide assembly. The photos crossed a line for me with the use of a crucifix as a prop; no Christian believes there is hypocrisy in the crucifix.
