I have a Nikon D610 and a Nikon D80. If I feel I will need 2 lenses I keep my 28-200 on the 610 and my 50-500 on the D80. This keeps me from having to change lenses which I don’t like to do on a shoot.

Thanks to Sony e mount, I carry two cameras, a FF a7ii and a crop sensor a6500. Both are about the same megapixel, and the crop factor gives me more lens reach. Usually carry one with a 70-300 and the other a 35 2.8 Zeiss. I like the a6500 with the 35, very compact and what I take if I just want a camera to grab go. But that gives me everything from wide angle to equivalent 450mm

D610 with a 28-300 and a cell phone. My wife, on the other hand, schleps a couple of cameras and lenses around. That may end this coming summer she is complaining about the weight.

Perhaps your wife is hinting at M43 - perhaps a G9? Is her B'day coming up?

I carry a D800 as my primary and a D90 as a backup or second lens camera. When I bought the D800 I kept the D90 because I felt that the utility of keeping it as a backup outweighed the small amount I could have sold it for.

Who knows what evil lurks within. At any rate, whatever she does I will be the last to know.
We both retired at different times in 2017. We took a little trip and when we came back our children and grandchildren took us to dinner. They know she is into photography not so much me. They got her a Sonya7R111 with a 24-70 mm2.8 lens. She still lugs her old stuff around. Who knows. Me, they got me a case of Macallan Single malt. Do I have smart children or what??!!

For years I carried two Canon 5D Mark III's. When the Mark IV came out I replaced the oldest Mark III with the Mark IV. They are very similar in handling. If you don't mind learning two different systems, they wouldn't have to be the same.

2? Really? ok just kidding. normal walkabouts I will carry two cameras with two different lenses. Now if I am going to do a cemetery or any cool places I will replace one With my SLR for B&W shots. . With that said, I have used by 18-55 lens for weeks at a time. I will generally carry two for accident sake. Hope this helps

Probably am different from most posters on this thread, but due to age and physical limitations I now use only Bridge and Point & Shoot cameras. When I go out to shoot pics, I will take one Bridge camera and will have a P & S in my shirt pocket.

I have two cameras but don't carry them at the same time. My preference is one full frame and one APS-C. Each has characteristics favoring one or the other. All my lenses are full frame.

In the past, I two identical cameras with an OP/TECH strap carrying both - tele on the right and W/A on the left. Now I carry a D750 and a D5100 when I want two cameras. They don't have identical controls, but I manage.

I usually carry a D750 with a 24-70 2.8 and an D850 with 70-200 2.8. It gives me a good 'ready for anything' approach for the kind of shooting I like to do.

I actually carry 3. Nikon D750, D7100, and Canon G7X. The D750 is my primary, the D7100 is carried as a backup unless there is a need for two cameras with different lenses, and the G7X is for when I don't want to schlep the bigger stuff or when cameras are restricted for one reason or another.

Just to be clear I don't carry them all with me, but have them available.
