Hi all, I have a Nikon D850 (Body Only) that I would like to sell. It is in excellent conditions with about 2000 clicks. I seem to have a big Gas buildup for a new Z7. I would appreciate advice in what I should expect to get for the camera. It would include the original box with the D850 strap, 2 batteries and the charger, manuals and the USB cable. I would prefer to sell to someone in the Phoenix Arizona area so we could meet in person. Thanks, Tom

Thomas, I suggest you (1) post a price for your D850 and (2) post (uploaded) pictures of the camera. It's the first thing people will ask for. And if you will ship, how much and where (CONUS only?), and finally what payment methods you'll accept (PayPal, cash only, etc). That's mute, of course, if you "only" wish to sell locally.

I would expect that you would get an amount of money that you and the buyer agree upon.
I initially put it in the local (Phoenix) Craigslist as I have had very good success there. I included
9 pictures of the camera there and I am asking $2800 for the camera . I'll wait to see what happens there. I'm not familiar with PayPal transactions but if I don't have any interest locally I'll post here.

Why do you bother doing this?
Why do I bother doing this? I was asking the group for recommendations on what I should ask, and hopefully get for my camera. I don't want to ask too low and lose $$$ or lose buyers selling it by pricing it too high. The local camera shop offered $1400-$1600 for which is less than half what it costs new.

first off i think rab-eye was talking to someone else...and i agree with him....
the camera store will give you considerably less than what you would want for the camera...they will then try and sell it for a profit. when i was selling a camera and lenses i was not having much luck. i decided i was willing to sell to a dealer for less than i wanted but found it was much easier for me in the long run...

That reply wasn’t aimed at you, but to another’s post. Maybe take a look on eBay for similar cameras/prices.

IMO selling here you should ask around the average eBay price (+/- depending in condition) minus 8-10% to make up for the eBay fees you would have to pay.

To point out how poorly worded the original question was.
