Quite nice. What did you use as your stacking program? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jay, I use Nebulosity 4 for stacking. I also took 50 flats, as I do have a few large spots in my imaging train.

I've used Nebulosity 4 for stacking star photographs with good success tho just a few times as I'm still very much a beginner and novice to to the software. I have tried stacking moon shots but haven't been successful. I'm obviously missing something when I try the moon stacking. Perhaps it's something obvious I've overlooked or perhaps its something else that made these attempts unsuccessful. Any thoughts or tips about this would be appreciated.

I’ll get back to you later when I can open up Nebulosity. It does take quite some time to stack. Luckily you just push a button and it runs, I would say this took around 1/2-3/4 hour to stack. (It was running, I wasn’t paying attn).

No worries. Whenever you have the chance. I just want to be clear, when I attempted to stack 96 moon photos, Nebulosity did stack them and it did take some time. The output was not what I expected, it was very blurry rather than something that looked like yours. So I was thinking I had a setting messed up or missed something that maybe was obvious but not to me. Thanks for your help.

Jay, did you use Batch, Automatic Alignment (non-stellar)?

The only thing in changed was Size from the default value to 100%, it that shouldn’t have anything to do with your stacking. Just select a master image, shouldn’t matter which one you pick, then let it run.

I think you may have solved my problem...I may but mostly likely didn't use Automatic Alignment (non-stellar). It's been sometime since I tried it and just thought about when you mentioned you used Nebulosity. I will give that a try and report back to you. Thanks again for your assistance.

Let me know if that works out for you. This was the first time I had tried it,, like I said, it ran for a while.
