I'm considering picking up this little item and have tried to think of all the scenarios in which I would never use it. The only ones I could come up with are: shooting in the wet and cold weather, requiring heavier, bulkier outerwear. I'm sure there are others you all could come up with. To see what I'm talking about, here's a link:

Saw this a year or so ago, It still looks like a way to wreck three lens if you should bump something or fall down.

Its biggest drawback is all the crap that falls inside the (always up pointing) empty hole. You would always need to keep a body cap on it to prevent all that crap from falling into a lens when it is rotated into the down position. Its just another " not well thought out" gimmick to get a handfull of your hard earned dollars.

It's really a way to carry 4 lenses. Of course you have to juggle the one coming off your camera while you take one off the 3-lens spinner, then place the one from the spinner onto your camera, then put the one from your camera back onto the spinner. The gaping hole shouldn't be there very long.
Of course if you're hit by a truck, or get caught in the elevator door - - well that NEVER has a good outcome.

I love gadgets but I have reservations about this one- just based on my own shooting habits.

When I am not in a rush and especially if I am shooting out of doors, in wet or rough conditions or on an industrial site, I prefer to take the time to keep my lenses in a compartmentalized case. It doesn't take me all that long to access a lens, take one off a body and put it back and then pop on the required lens. If conditions get wet, dusty or messy, I can close the lid and protect the gear.

If I am gunning and running- press coverages, weddigs, sports etc, I find that stuff hanging on my belt or on straps off my shoulder usually takes a beating. My flash power packs look like they've been in a war zone and when I am working quickly with multiple cameras, well- I just hate the sound of stuff clanging together because I know there is gonna be at least cosmetic damage or worse. I bump into things and othere people, I climb up ladders or get down low on the ground and things take a beating. I'm better off hanging everything around my neck and letting it rest on my chest. If I am working that rapidly, I don't bother with lens caps. I put the caps back on when the job is done and the gear is in transit.

3 big lenses hangin on my belt would probably knida put me off balance or I might lose my pants. Most of my lenses are rater heavy. The longer lenses and zooms with lens shades attached may becom unwieldy in that configuration.

I would also wonder of the integrity of the lens mounts on that contraption. It might nor be all that efficient to twist and lock the lenses in place form that position(?).

I think that sort of turret action is ingenious but I don't think that rig would work for me. I suppose it depends on you own shooting habits and your particular body mechanics. From the images in the advertising, it seems that it is durable and well made.

Of course if you drop it you break 3 lenses.

There is also a two lens version of this I saw a video of it a while ago.

If you want it then buy it and see how it works. You can post a user report here on UHH.

That doesn't appeal to me.
I usually use two bodies on a lot of shoots (not all).

Interesting idea. I'd plan to use it to support a three lens system. Step One would be parking the lens from the camera, then select the one that will be removed and mounted back on the camera. I see it working best for moderate size or small lenses. Each of the stored lenses would benefit if it had some sort of drawstring cover.

And...if I get hit by a truck, I would want it to be a sad day for everyone. Not worried about the lenses in that case.

Come on and tell the truth. You want one and you want us to help you find uses that you can use with your significant other to justify the purchase! I will have to pass, too busy for me, I don't change lens enough to need such an outfit.

You'd need a really good belt to lash all this stuff on to.
I recommend either Bigfoot Belts, or High Noon. These 1-1/2" 3-layer belts have a middle layer of either Kydex or Stainless Steel. They WON'T twist or Droop. Of course the stainless steel one won't make it through the Airport metal detectors.

Looking at it (video) several more times.... I suppose in a rapid shooting environment, especially if you use primes only, it could prove helpful, I'm thinking weddings, model photoshoots, it could be useful, and somewhat safe. Aside from being next to you, there is no actual protection for the lens, so it will be bumped, slapped, smacked against things, dragged along, etc. In a crowd, on the streets, not so sure I'd want it there. I'll leave it to those who carry and changeout more than one lens while on a shoot. My photo work these days is all very relaxed, as I'm not "on the clock", just enjoying my hobby. If I need to carry another lens or two, they would be in a bag, or belt pouch, backpack, something somewhat protective.
