My wife got a couple of calls from herself. They rang and the caller ID said it was her own phone number calling. How the hell do they do THAT?
Fake numbers that they route through some sort of system. I have been getting those for the last week. I just worry that they will use my name and number to spoof someone else. We live a rather solitary existence except for family, so it's fairly easy to sort the calls out. It means my home phone is almost useless to us except to allow spam calls and the VERY occasional legit calls.

I let them ring four times before I pick up. Robo calls only ring three times.
