Spectre, A New iPhone App For Hand Held Long Exposure Photos And More

Here is my first posted photo using a new app, Spectre, for the iPhone.

It was handheld, a 3 second exposure.

So far, I prefer this app over using the live view long exposure built into the iPhone. It seems sharper to me.

I tried the technique for making people disappear, using a 5-9 second exposure and that worked.

I plan to try the light trail technique.

This is the only iPhone app I know of that will make people disappear.

The choice for exposure times are 3, 5, or 9 seconds. I found it hard to hold the phone still enough for 9 seconds. The waterfalls looked about the same for 3 seconds and 5 seconds, so 3 seconds is what I plan on mostly using,

The app was worth the $2.99 it cost.

Thanks for the photo and app recommendation. If someone showed me that photo, I would have bet the house that no way it was taken with a camera phone. What software did you use to post process?

Wow! Handheld @ 3 seconds...you’ve proven you have arms of steel, do you leap tall buildings in a single bound, are you faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, is it photoshop or smoke and mirrors, no...it’s his iPhone. You’re killing it Dean. This photograph is fabulous! You’ve really got me thinking about going mirrorless full time. Thanks for sharing.
