Birds & a test - Poor light today but I had too...

Try the 7DII I bought. I owned one before but when I wanted a 5DIV I traded my 6D and 7DII plus some lens and a 4x5 Speed Graphic I hadn't used in 20 years for the 5DIV and an 80D to replace the 7DII (I wanted the upgraded sensor). But I found I missed the advanced controls and features of the 7DII. I was saving for the 7DIII or EOS R series that would replace the 7DII. But no sign of a replacement on the horizon so I just decided to get another 7DII. I found one on Ebay in excellent condition with less than 11,000 on the shutter and the same person also had the Canon battery grip up for auction. I kept track of the two auctions (ending 5 minutes apart) and having decided what I was willing to pay I went on and with 30 seconds to go placed my max bid on the camera, I won, so then I did the same for the battery grip and won that also. I paid instantly to show good faith and then sent a PM asking if we could meet (only 20 miles apart) and could I get my shipping fees back? He said yes. So we met at a Costco 15 miles from my house and 5 from his on Monday. I arrived early, did some shopping and then got a soda and turkey melt sandwich for lunch and read while waiting for him. Very nice guy. Shooting conditions have been poor due to the rains and clouds but today I just had to try. ISOs are very high so the shots are noisy but the focus etc are spot on. ID and info will be added to each of the three shots. These are in my backyard in Corona, Riverside County, California.
And the camera 3 batteries and battery grip look like new. He took excellent care of them, kept them clean and even had all the little wraps, plastic slip covers and spacers for the original boxes and had repacked them so it looked like they were still new in box.

On the pictures don't bother with download unless you want to see the correct colors, like I said the noise is bad, looks like I am doing "pointillism" painting, and not very well.

I do wish the UHH background color was closer to white, this pale yellow causes a color shift when I view non downloaded images.

Hey Jer;

Medicoter shots with your new (used) 7D Mk II. What were you missing from your 80D besides the FPS?
I don't miss mine at all, and I adore the articulating touch screen om my 80D~~~

Medicoter (typo? Mediocre) shots with your new (used) 7D Mk II. What were you missing from your 80D besides the FPS?

All the options in the AF that the dual processors allow, all the manual controls and the FPS plus the AF speed that dedicated processor allows.

I don't do touch screen and seldom tilt my screens. For one thing I am one of those people who can't see the screen in daylight so I just never learned to use them and can get by fine without them.

I do still have the 80D. So now I have 3 Canon dslr cameras and since I buy FF lenses they will all fit all three bodies. In addition my wife has a T6s with a 50 mm 1.8 EF and 3 EF-S lenses (24 mm, 18-55 mm and 55-250 mm) if I get the urge to use one.

And yes the quality of the shots is Mediocre, I was shooting out a door across my yard to avoid the rain in flat/dim/bad light. The birds were busy dodging rain drops which is why I didn't got out closer and why the light was poor, solid clouds and rain. I got out my flash and better beamer and will try some with fill light tomorrow if we don't get any sunshine that allows me to get closer in better light between this rain storm and the next one coming.

Experimenting is good keep going.

Thanks
I need the humor - gloomy, rain, wife sick, dogs and cats all seem to want attention and I have to go to the doctor, do the shopping and to make myself feel better make a crock pot of homemade chili big enough for us to eat until my wife feels better (much better cook than me for most things).
