I'm putting together a slideshow for our Girls BB Season.(they've earned their way to the state tourney). Looking for music ideas...This will be shown at their homecoming after the tourney. So that being said, the music needs to be cuss word free and appropriate for the public!!
Thanks in advance!!

There are three ways:

First, you can put any MP3 you find or buy into a slideshow. The problem is that since you will be showing it to a group publicly you may be violating copyrights.

Second, you can use one of the many "music for videographer" sites where you agree to copyright terms. There are both "free" and "paid" versions.

Third, you can use music that comes with your video editor. I use Premiere Elements and it comes with forty or so music tracks and adjusts them to fit the length of the video or slideshow.

I've got a collection of links to "music for videographers" and can put up links if you want to go that way. This is one: https://www.epidemicsound.com/

You are welcome! I've done all three, including where I might be in violation of copyright. Maybe not legal violation, but at least ethical. If you decide to share your slideshow on YouTube, they have filters that will catch and block copyrighted music.

Another interesting source is a guy named Eric Matyas. He is somewhere in Europe and gives away music he composes. He asks for credit and donations, but does not charge you. http://soundimage.org/

You can also search for "free music" on YouTube.

The soundtrack music from Hoosiers!

It's inspiring, especially if they know the movie.

Check out the musice from CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival) Great composition and themes, especially for a warrior attitude.

I can hear the saxaphone from the Benny Hill show right now!

(Just kidding. Don't use it.)

It might be good for a bunch of funny out-takes.

Love that music, but how are you going to get their permission to use their copyrighted material?

That's why I don't worry about the copyright. As long as I am not using their music to sell my products, then I don't worry about it.

A little bit off topic but check out Pro Show at photodex.com to create your shows. Lots of music selections included plus you can access your own downloads. Free trial version and their site has lots of sample videos and tutorials. It’s a great program and easy to learn.

For private use withing friends and family, that is certainly valid. My audience is geographically dispersed so I like to use Vimeo or YouTube and that can change what I need to do.
