Well I have been registered here for a few months now and have never posted, sorry for that.

Anyways I consider myself an Amateur Photographer so to speak. I used to take photos years and years ago when I had a Minolta X7A. Took hundreds of rolls of B&W as well as color photos of Sunrises/Sunsets, wildlife and landscapes. Also had an ole Pentax K1000 as well. I guess when my now ex and I parted ways she hide the photos, negatives and everything else I had and then eventually destroyed them. I did purchase my first EOS Rebel DSLR years ago and I could not get used to it. Had a photo shoot with a friend and my photos looked way too dark and I got frustrated so I got out of it once again.

Now I have another EOS Rebel T6 and am picking up once again and learning it ever so slightly. Have figured out a lot about DSLR's by my good friend Google and other forums.

So will be posting some pics now LOL.

Here is just a couple of many

Welcome Ron. I too am new and have yet to post any works as I find my way through the many subjects that are discussed on this site. The gallery section is very nice and you can see everyone's images as they display them. It is quite helpful and encouraging for me to see what others have accomplished.

Good luck sir.

The definition of "amateur" is, you don't get paid. So that places you with most of us. The definition of "professional" is NOT "Great and knows everything".
Forget the word " amateur" and just take pictures, learn more of the craft, and get better!

Don't get carried away by the "You need more/better/different equipment" push from people on UHH.
Read your manual over and over. Discover what you can do with your camera.
Have fun!
