Hello all. I have been taking photos for a few years, but got my first DSLR (Canon T6i) a year or two ago. I have learned a bit by experimenting with it and enjoy the increased control I have in Manual Mode. I like to shoot nature photography (plants, animals, landscapes) and I find myself often shooting close ups. I look forward to learning from everyone here and to improving my technique.
Welcome, I'm sure you will enjoy it here!

Thanks, I did just that a few minutes ago. Looking forward to hearing any pearls of wisdom from those more experienced than I.
Welcome and I too am basically a beginner as well. This is a great place to learn a lot about photography and processing techniques as well as gear evaluations from the many folks that contribute to the threads on all related topics. Good luck.
Welcome to the Hog, Corvid, enjoy.
Don't get carried away by the "You need more/better/different equipment" push from people on UHH.
Read your manual over and over. Discover what you can do with your camera.
Have fun!
