Looks like Paul can watch his expected P**********l Pardon turn into dust as New York is expected to indict him on state crimes which are beyond the reach of the Trump Cartel.
I LOVE NEW YORK

I guess it’s unrealistic to expect the legal experts here to be familiar with double jeopardy.

Maybe next time Frank will post the article instead of a link to a firewall.

He is a glaring example of greed and arrogance; birds of a feather.

I guess we all know where you pulled that out of. He will not be charged by New York for anything he was either acquitted of or convicted of in federal court. The crimes the jury hung on are fair game if they are against state law as is state tax evasion, and some others. Nothing unconstitutional.

Without the article I can neither confirm nor deny your assumptions.

I do find it comical to see l*****ts making a states rights argument.

Supreme court has ruled that charging a person for a federal crime and a state crime is not double jeopardy because they are two different statutes but, i guess you guys are ignorant of that fact.
Glad i could educate you.

You might want to include a link for that ruling.

New York law isn't going to allow him to stand trial in New York state court for anything he has stood trial for in federal court. Charges that weren't dispatched, possibly because of a hung jury, or perhaps because he wasn't charged are considered to not have had jeopardy attached, so he can be charged with no double jeopardy. It doesn't matter what the article says. How is it a states rights issue. There is no competition for jurisdiction here. I hear that there are states where you can be charged in state court after either being found innocent or guilty of the same crime in Federal court. New York isn't one of those states.
