Mint condition US model D7000 from top rated ebay seller, Paypal guarantees your purchase is as stated or will refund your money. $330 with shipping. This is how I bought my D7000 a few years ago. Lots of others for sale for around $300 or less. Buy from a top rated seller and read the description carefully. If camera is not as described (I.E. working properly in good condition and as described) Paypal refunds your money.

I have a mint condition D7000 with very low shutter count and the original box, I ment to sell it a year ago but I haven’t gotten around to it. Let me know if you are interested.

If you are going to go this route then I would go with the D610 instead of the D600. In the D610 the oil on the shutter has been corrected.

There is that but Nikon is still replacing the shutter mechanisms under warranty. I went the 600 route to save $200 and Nikon installed a new shutter free of charge.

Here's a link to a website that provides information as to Nikon serial number country of origin, as well as a lot of other information concerning each Nikon model: http://www.photosynthesis.co.nz/nikon/camera.html
