Nice Buck in my front yard.

Our dogs were barking at something in our front yard. This is what they were barking at. A nice buck for the Texas Hill Country region. The "last five pictures" is when he decided to "get out of here as soon as possible" & that is exactly what he is doing.

Great capture of the buck running. Were you using burst mode?

Great Capture. If it was hunting season, can you shoot the buck?

Yes, I was using a ss of 1/8000. He was in a very big hurry to vamoose. That is one of the main reasons why he is still around today.
Something for us humans to practice is "to be very cautious of something that we "don't" know any thing about". Right?

No, as our city does not allow hunting of any kind in its' boundaries. A looong time ago I used to hunt them, but I just can't bring myself to do it any more. Especially with such a beautiful animal as this one.
I hope that you understand where I am coming from.
Thank you.

We see deer a lot in the area where I live. We figure it's just part of the beauty of living where they roam. I have hunted most of my life and I still just enjoy seeing them.

There are regs about shooting close to dwellings. In Ct. it'sa 400 feet.

Excellent set. I hunt with my son in law. He has his rifle with him in the blind and I have my Canon.

I understand, and feel the same way. I have nothing against anyone hunting to put food on their table, I just can’t do it myself anymore. I suppose the beef cattle and pigs that I devour wouldn’t understand my reasoning. I’m not sure I do. I just know I live to look at the beautiful deer and other game animals now.
